The Slick Network

A few people have asked the question - Why is the site called MrSlick.com? Is it because you guys think that you are cool?

I wish that we were cool, but actually the domain name was purchased in 1999 as a way to make money. The truth is that I had hope to be able to sell the name for a profit, so I registered it for $35/year. The cost seemed cheap because people were selling domain names for hundreds of thousands of dollars each day. I put the name up for sale , but I didn’t even get one offer. All I got was one kid who yelled at me because Slick was his real last name, so he is the real Mr. Slick. I felt lame because MrSlick.com wasn’t the only name that I purchased. I ended up getting rid of all of them except for this one. I just thought that it seemed catchy, so I kept it and here we are now.
